Takutai Kāpiti Co-Design Working Group
The Co-Design Working Group consisted of representatives from our Tiriti Partners, Greater Wellington Regional Council, Coastal Ratepayers United, North Ōtaki Beach Residents Group, Waikanae Estuary Care Group, and Kāpiti Coast District Council staff.
Climate change portfolio holders from Kāpiti Coast District Council and Greater Wellington Regional Council, and one representative each from the Ōtaki, Waikanae, Paraparaumu/Raumati, and Paekākāriki Community Boards attended the Working Group meetings in the role of observers.
Co-Design Working Group Terms of Reference
The Working Group objective was to discuss, agree, and finalise recommendations for Kāpiti Coast District Council’s elected members on the preferred process for Phase Two for the Takutai Kāpiti project. These recommendations were summarised and presented to Council on 10 December 2020:
